ITOSEIKAI is translated in English as ‘thread Seikai’ because of the leaf shape which is similar to SEIKAI (flower variety of Fukiran) but very narrow like thread compared to Seikai. Well-grown ITOSEIKAI looks like BENKEIMARU 弁慶丸 (small and very curvy foliage) sometimes and features of their folieage are very similar. Benkeimaru is very popular and still dealt in at least $500 for single growth. So, Some of ITOSEIKAI used to sell as BENKEIMARU and dealt in very high price long time ago. (doesn’t happen lately) TSUKE would be very bumpy and foliages curve strongly. Interesting variety.
