Variety of Miyakohabutae (white stripe variety). When Miyakohabutae’s stripe chenge to marginal stripe, it is called as MIHATA.
First found in one of grower’s greenhouse in 1887 that one of baby was mutated to marginal stripe. First it was named “Nishiki-no-MIHATA” but later renamed as “MIHATA” because usually “NISHIKI” imply stripe variety so was better to call without it to avoid confusing.
