MAME-SUZUMUSHI came out of seedling KUTSUWAMUSHI which shows character called “Suzumushi-ken” on their leaf.
Most desirable character of Mame-suzumushi is the shape and size. Every other variety which has “suzumushi-ken” (kutsuwamushi or suzumushi) grows big but Mame-suzumushi stays in small. Also produce ocean wave tsuke.
Variegated ones are also found in this variety and let grower very very excited! I always admire such a small plants can have many exciting features. This variety is one of them. They looks like tiny crabs that I saw on the street in rainy days in Japan when I was a little. I think this variety is very neat.
